MY JOURNEY
Hi! I’m Jess. I’m born and raised in the Bay Area and am a city girl at heart.
My love for cooking began at a very young age. Some of my earliest memories are of my brother and I sneaking into the kitchen to watch our mom cook. When she wasn’t looking, we’d swipe a piece of chicken or a vegetable straight from the pan—shhh, don’t tell her… sorry, Mom!
My mom always encouraged me to taste her food and share my thoughts on what could be adjusted. That simple act sparked my curiosity and planted the seed for my lifelong love of food. Before long, I was right beside her in the kitchen, learning as she cooked. No matter how busy, tired, or under the weather she was, she made it a point to prepare a home-cooked meal every single day, bringing our family together around the dinner table. Those moments taught me that food is more than nourishment—it’s community.
As my curiosity grew, Food Network became my best friend. One of my favorite shows to watch with my dad was Iron Chef America. I was fascinated by the creativity, technique, and cultural stories behind each dish, and it inspired me to explore flavors and cuisines far beyond my own kitchen.
What began as cooking for friends and family soon evolved into a true passion. I’ve taken that love of food into catering events, hosting dinner parties, and offering personalized meal prep services—always cooking with heart and intention.
When I’m not in the kitchen, you can usually find me hanging out with friends, sipping matcha, kneading my sourdough, hitting a Pilates class, biking through the neighborhood, shopping, SELF-CARE, or driving into the city for a dose of nostalgia. I like to think of myself as hardworking, funny, and a good listener—always up for a challenge and constantly striving to grow and improve, both in life and in the kitchen.
I cook to create fun, delicious, and nourishing meals that bring people together, one plate at a time
